The Iconiq Outdoors Story

It began in 2002, with a family visit to Safety Bay, near Perth, Western Australia. What we discovered there never really left us: the effortless, unhurried way Australians embraced outdoor living. With sunshine almost year-round, life naturally flowed outside, bringing together comfort, thoughtful design and, above all, the pleasure of being together.

Returning to Europe, we wanted to recreate that same feeling at home. But we kept encountering the same challenges so many families face: how to make the most of an outdoor space, and how to enjoy it when the unpredictable British weather has other ideas. Those early frustrations became the foundation of what Iconiq Outdoors stands for today.

Every return trip to Australia brought fresh inspiration. Over more than two decades, that passion grew into an understanding of what makes an outdoor space truly work: the right materials, thoughtful design and the confidence to extend the home beyond its walls. That experience, together with years spent creating and enjoying our own outdoor spaces, is at the heart of Iconiq Outdoors today.

We remain a family business at heart, guided by the same belief that began on an Australian summer afternoon more than two decades ago:

THE WHY

THE ART OF OUTDOOR LIVING

For us, an outdoor space shouldn't feel separate from the home. It should be another place to live, somewhere to relax, cook, entertain and spend time with the people who matter.

We love those moments, long lunches that turn into evenings, Paul at the BBQ, family around the table, a quiet drink as the sun goes down, and making the most of being outside even when the British weather isn't quite cooperating, although this last summer has been amazing, the new norm we wonder.

That's the thinking behind Iconiq Outdoors. We look for beautifully designed products that bring the comfort, quality and attention to detail we expect indoors into the spaces we create outside.

THE WHY

FROM INSPIRATION TO ICONIQ OUTDOORS

The inspiration had been there since that first trip to Australia. Years later, during a dinner party at home, it finally crystallised into an idea.

As the rain forced everyone indoors, we found ourselves facing the same frustrations we'd experienced for years. The seating wasn't comfortable enough, the atmosphere changed as soon as we moved inside and, once again, the weather had the final say.

That evening brought everything together. Why should outdoor living always involve compromise?

From that question, Iconiq Outdoors began to take shape: an online destination for premium outdoor furniture, pergolas, kitchens and products chosen around comfort, enduring quality and thoughtful design.

    Behind Iconiq Outdoors are Kasia and Paul, united by a shared love of bringing family and friends together outside.

    Their different experiences and perspectives shape Iconiq Outdoors today, with Kasia leading the business day to day and Paul supporting its strategy, digital development and growth.

    Iconiq Outdoors grew from a simple belief they both share:

  • Kasia Harrison

    Chief Executive Officer

    Kasia grew up in Poland and is proud mum to Alex, step-mum to Tim, and "Babcia" to Emma. She is happiest when the whole family is together, making new memories outside while Paul is hard at work cooking another feast.

    Professionally, Kasia brings a strong background in customer experience and operational leadership across customer care, education, hospitality, finance and accounting, experience that has shaped her belief in thoughtful, personal service.

    As Chief Executive Officer, she leads Iconiq Outdoors day to day, keeping the business organised, responsive and focused on creating a great experience for every customer.

  • Paul Harrison

    Strategy & Digital Advisor

    Paul is a Crawley boy, proud dad and grandad, and a lifelong BBQ enthusiast. Over the years he has taken his BBQ skills to another level, keeping family and friends well fed and always coming back for more. You can usually find him outside at the BBQ, rain or shine.

    Paul has also spent his career helping businesses improve customer experience and operations through technology and transformation, with leadership roles at Autoglass®, Wincanton, TNT/FedEx, Canon and British Gas.

    He brings that experience to Iconiq Outdoors in a non-executive strategy and digital advisory role, supporting the business behind the scenes as it grows.
