The Iconiq Outdoors Story

It began in 2002, with a family visit to Safety Bay, near Perth, Western Australia. What our founders discovered there never really left them. The effortless, unhurried art of outdoor living, Australian style. With sunshine almost year-round, life naturally flowed outside, where comfort, thoughtful design, and the pleasure of being together came beautifully and simply into one.

Returning to Europe, the founders set about chasing that same feeling at home. But they kept running into the same obstacles so many families face: not knowing how to make the most of an outdoor space, or letting the unpredictable British weather be the reason to stay indoors. Those early frustrations became the foundation of everything Iconiq Outdoors stands for today.

With every return trip to Australia, new ideas took root. Across more than two decades, the team built up a deep understanding of what truly transforms an outdoor space: the right materials, the right design, the confidence to extend the home beyond its walls. That knowledge, shared across generations and refined through years of hands-on experience, is what Iconiq Outdoors was built to share.

Today, we remain a family business at heart, rooted in the same belief that began on an Australian summer afternoon: that the best moments in life happen outdoors, and everyone deserves a space worthy of them.

The idea came a few years later, during a dinner party at home. As the rain forced everyone indoors, it became clear that our outdoor space wasn’t living up to its potential. The seating lacked comfort, the atmosphere fell short, and the weather had the final say. For us, it was a turning point and the moment we decided we’d had enough of compromise.

    Paul has spent his career helping businesses improve customer experience and streamline operations through technology-enabled transformation. His background includes leadership roles in FTSE 100/250 and Private Equity backed organisations.

    Kasia has a background in customer experience and operational leadership across education, customer care, hospitality, finance, and accounting, bringing a practical understanding of how to keep businesses organised, responsive, and running smoothly.

  • Paul Harrison

    Chief Executive Officer

    Paul is a Crawley boy, proud dad and grandad, and a lifelong BBQ enthusiast. After spending 20 years in the Netherlands, where Tim, Alex and his granddaughter Emma were born, he returned to the UK in 2008 and has since taken his BBQ skills to another level, keeping family and friends well fed and always asking for more. You can often find him outside BBQing, rain or shine.

    Alongside that personal passion, His background includes leadership roles with Autoglass®, Wincanton, TNT/FedEx, Canon and British Gas, where he developed a strong understanding of how to build trusted relationships, deliver consistently high standards and create long-term value.

  • Kasia Harrison

    Marketing & Customer Experience Director

    Kasia grew up in Poland and is the proud mum to Alex, step-mum to Tim, and “Babcia” or Grandma to Emma. She met Paul in the Netherlands, where they lived together for 20 years before returning to the UK in 2008. She is happiest when the family are all together, creating new memories in their outdoor living space while watching Paul hard at work cooking another family feast.

    Professionally, Kasia brings a strong background in operational leadership across customer care, education, hospitality, finance and accounting. Her experience has been built in environments where service quality, attention to detail and calm execution matter, giving her a practical understanding of how to keep things organised, responsive and running smoothly for customers.
